We’ve all “that friend” at some point in our lives. The friend who is always late, a little ditzy, directionless when it comes to a career, doesn’t always make the best choices-especially when it comes to romance, careless with money, and who can be selfish and self centered. But who’s also fun, outgoing, up for any adventure, passionate, and has a big heart. We can’t help but love them.
Sabrina is that friend in her close knit circle of friends. She’s still searching for her path- for a career, for romance, for purpose. She thinks she has it all figured out when she jumps headfirst and wholeheartedly into becoming a podcaster. She doesn’t have any sort of real plan for how to execute her podcast plan, but she knows in her heart it’ll happen. She uses the money her dad gave her for health insurance to buy a ton of equipment and hired an old acquaintance from high school to be her producer. She’s ready to hit the ground running to become social media’s next big it girl -but she’s not ready for so many bumps along the way.
I really enjoyed this funny and heartfelt story of friendship and, in Sabrina’s case, growing up and doing the right thing. I loved that a the full cast was used for this work. The use of sound effects and the full cast made this more of a theatrical performance. Comedian and internet denizen Sabrina Brier wrote this novella and leads the cast. It’s witty, funny, and relatable- because we all have that friend who can drive us crazy and who we love dearly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
