Chasing the Boogeyman

Author: Richard Chizmar

Publisher: Gallery Books

Year: 2021

📚 𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 📚

What’s not to love about this book? It’s a book within a book. The author has written himself into the story as the main character. It’s a love letter to his hometown and growing up there. It reads like a true crime story, but it’s fiction. Seriously, I had to go back to read the author’s note twice to make sure the story really was fictional. That’s how real this book feels. There’s lots of twists and turns. And there’s just a dash of creepiness for extra flavor. I loved it. Total ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ book for me.

Any exciting plans for the weekend?

We don’t have any plans. We’ll watch the Big Game tomorrow. I’ll probably read while the game is on unless it’s a nail biter. Really looking forward to the commercials though. 😀
