📖𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁📖
Last night I went to see author Brad Parks speak at an event hosted by the Kitty Hawk, NC branch of the Dare County Library. It was a fantastic time. Brad discussed his writing career which started as a sportswriter for a local newspaper when he was a teenager. He spent many years working as a journalist before becoming a novelist. He read from his book 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗪𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀. It’s about a teacher who’s accused of an inappropriate relationship with a student. Brad also talked about his writing process. It was great listening to him and meeting him. The event also raised funds for the library. My favorite indie bookstore Island Bookstore was on hand selling Brad’s book with some of the proceeds going to the library. I can’t wait to start this book and I’m looking forward Brad’s next book which comes out in February. I even got to chat with Lee Randall the head of Ocean View Publishing about thrillers. It was a great night!
