Roger Viceroy is trying to cope with the grief of losing his wife and unborn baby in a tragic accident when his career takes an unexpected turn. Billionaire Jรผrgen Sandt, a former US Senator, hires Viceroy and his two partners to be his private investigators. Their first mission: find Sandt’s son Bertram who disappeared ten years ago in the jungle of Guatemala.
Viceroy and his team take on the case even though there are scant clues and or evidence about what exactly happened to Bertram and the others with him on a mission trip. Their investigation leads them to a madman with a plan that will wreck havoc and cost countless lives. As the trial of dead bodies grow, the team must use all their skills to save innocent lives.
This was a quick and entertaining thriller. The pacing was good. Author Steven C. Harms knows when to drop the hammer on the action to give a twist it’s maximum punch. This is the second book in the series and can easily be read as a standalone. There’s enough background to get any reader quickly up to speed so I didn’t feel lost. This is an enjoyable thriller with enough action and twist to satisfying any thriller fan. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Many thanks to the author for the review copy!
